Cynthia La Grou is a California, entrepreneur who has guided a diversity of nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Co-founder and Marketing Director of Millennia Music and Media, FPC, which designs and manufactures state-of-the-art audio equipment. Ms. La Grou’s responsibilities span brand architecture, packaging, and advertising campaigns, and she also oversees exhibition design, corporate photography and video production. The company has earned more than three dozen industry awards and is recognized by audio professionals around the world.
Cynthia La Grou is founding director of the arts and media nonprofit, Compathos Foundation, whose mission is to provide support and development of educational and documentary materials to foster awareness of charitable works and to encourage philanthropy. Compathos curates culturally-rich storytelling to inspire action around social and environmental issues. Compathos supports media producers through its fiscal sponsorship program as well as produces publishing and streaming online platforms, award-winning films, interactive documentary forms, and events.
Ms. La Grou has also guided a publishing endeavor called The Wikiklesia Project, which took a self-organizing, collaborative approach to online publication. She oversaw aspects of the first two volumes, including project development, editing, cover design, and art direction. Her efforts achieved a Society for New Communications Research award of merit.
